英语中的定冠词和不定冠词分别有哪些

冠词是虚词，本身不能单独使用，也没有词义，它用在名词的前面，帮助指明名词的含义。英语中的冠词有三种，一种是定冠词（the Definite Article），另一种是不定冠词（the Indefinite Article），还有一种是零冠词（Zero Article）。

定冠词和不定冠词用法有很多，区别也很大。常见的区别有如下两种。

1，Once upon a time there was a little boy who lived in a cottage.

The cottage was in the country, and the boy lived there all his life.

可以看到名词boy前面的冠词分别是定冠词a和不定冠词the，为什么呢？那是因为前面已提过的名词，再度提到时前面加the。

2，表一类人或事物时，定冠词和不定冠词的区别。

The car goes faster than the bike．

A tiger is a type of very large fierce wild cat that has yellow fur with black bands across.

靠前句用定冠词the，意思是表示“整个类别”。

第二句用补丁冠词a，意在侧重“整个类别”中的许多个体，而不是全部。

The dress is cheap in the shop.

dress前面的the是不能换成a。
